I fell over at next to zero speed on my R100 and broke my collarbone. It was on a lush, soft lawn. I didn't even get a grass stain on my jacket. The bike was on it's left side for several minutes. Of course when I started it to ride home it smoked heavily out of the LH pipe. That was no surprise to me. What surprised me is that it smoked for about 30 minutes and at least 15 miles. I was at Daytona during Bike Week and had to ride 90 miles home. All of those 30 minutes was in close proximity to hundreds of other riders, most on Harleys or metric cruisers. I felt like I was shaming the BMW marque by releasing huge clouds of blue smoke at every stop light but what the heck, the pain from the broken bone eclipsed the shame.
