I am looking for:
A front 17" black tubeless spoked rim that allows to fit on the hub two 320 discs. and that leaves space to the 4 piston stock calipers.no problem,,we have 3 choices
Could you use the rim and spokes from the BMW supermoto front 17" wheel for the HP2 Enduro?yes if we use any oem hub off a R1200GS or GSA,,,you will need a set of adapter nipples,,,a better stronger more aesthetic alternative would be to use a set of my Monzter spokes and redrill the rim accordingly,,,it can be sealed for tubeless too
I am asking this to optimize costs in case of buying a BMW SuperMoto set for the HP2 enduro. As soon as i am planning to use a rear 17" black tubeless spoked wheel for the HP2 Enduro that allows up to 160 rear tire.
If not possible to use the HP2 Enduro supermoto front rim, would you use a GS1200 front spoked hub taken from its 19" stock wheel?
then i will use a rear 17" tubeless spoked wheel coming from a GS1200.FYI there are no 3.5x17 front bmw rims available,,,, the closest i can do is use the 2.5x17 rim bmw uses on the back of the r100GS/PD or HP2..you would be better to use the larger2.5x18 or even 19 on the front for a nicer street ride....these i can x-lace tubeless and re-anodize to match an oem black 4x17 that comes with the sumo kit[FYI it's the same as rear R1200GSA] you must know this rim is optimal for the 150/70x17 tire size or a 160/80x17..the 160/60 or 70x17 need a wider 5-5.5 rim width check this chart
this setup will use avon distanzia 120/70/17 tires ..rear 160/60/17, do not need wider rear rim for a 180.
Thank you very much.
