I think its not so much the seat itself but the fact its so low compared with the peg position. If you pad up/raise the seat this will give your knees less bend (like a trail bike position) and make the transition to standing alot easier as well. IMO

how about raising the seat base 50mm with a storage locker underneath.....just thinkin aloud.
