Well, the guy riding the GS is a very good friend, and I love him dearly, but he's got very little offroad experience.
Anyhow, one revelation to me was how well Earles Forks manage washboard roads. I think even a competent rider on a GS would have had trouble keeping up. I felt far more comfortable on that road while on the R69S than I would have on my Caponord.
