Not so fast, boys. There's a set screw in each 'nipple' - 2mm hex key as I recall. There's a torque spec for the nipple and once it's seated, the set screw is locked-down to prevent loosening.
Well then, my 02 1150GS must be a one-off model, because I don't know what you are talking about and neither do my spokes. Maybe the 650s have a different system.
