All the hills on that course were pretty darn steep even if the helmet cam doesn't show it. Fortunately, traction was good and they presented little drama. Except the one you referred to. That's the thing about C class - I could do that hill in my sleep, but with everyone blocking the way, that adds a whole new dimension. I just wasn't carrying enough speed to carry my rear tire over that root where I got hung up. Fortunately, I got out pretty quickly, but those mistakes in awkward spots like that can really sap your energy, especially if you happen to drop the bike or something. You can expect a 200+ heart rate in pretty short order. At least I can.
