This squares with BMW's stated figure that the low octane map reduces peak output by 4 hp.
This is interesting. I had a software update at one point and afterward kept thinking the bike felt a little soft on top. There are two steep hills on my way to work, places where I run the bike WFO in 2nd & 3rd on one, and 3rd-4th-5th on the other. I noticed that I was not hitting the same top speeds. Seemed to run fine though, so I quit thinking about it. Now I know it wasn't my imagination!
