He opened his eyes, finally seeing light comming through the window.
His first thoughts were of not being able to find a camping spot before dark forcing him to pay the small sum of twenty five bucks for a hotel room and how he would have slept better in his bivy sack as opposed to the rocks they apparently stuff hotel mattresses with.
He woke up many times during the night, no idea why. It could have been because he was mad about the lack of time and miles he rode the day before but more likely was the airconditioner that he had left on full blast turning the cheap hotel room into more of a cave than a hotel.
The man had been in Tennessee the day before but well over half of his time was used just getting here. He didnt have much time, only a long weekend, making it even more important to wake up early and start the day right. Both of which he had not been able to do the day before and in the hotel. He had to trailor his bike from Southern Indiana to a town in Tennessee where he
could leave the jeep and continue on with just his bike.
