Straight past the prison we go...
and up the twisty climb on Mount Graham.
I find a shady and cool spot to gobble down my foot long lunch.
The lunch stop was not very long. There was a tempting twisty road ahead.
The pavement ends 12 miles before the dead end at Riggs Lake. I've been up this mountain several times, but have always been in to much of a hurry and turn around long before reaching the lake.
The snow won't last long. It's in the mid-eighties.
I made it to Riggs Flat Lake! Small.
The bike rests in the shade for a few minutes.
Thens it's back down. I had a scary moment when I hit a deep rutted section. The ruts had been filled with deep and loose gravel. I was not paying close attention and was startled when the bike began to buck back and forth. I got on the gas and made it out.
The sign says Elevation 9000.
