More interesting information.

Trainedchimp,

Your sprockets are from the originals that I made for pre R1200 engines.

As a test for the R1200S and R1200GS, I drilled the one hole per set so that we could see what difference they made.

A couple of Pelican members volunteered and the feedback was good on the results but the hole was only needed for the knock sensor. Seems BMW have changed the paddle wheel.

Adventurrer,

Yes the drilling of the locating pin hole to 3 mm with a carbide bit will make the hole the correct size for a better fit taking all pressure off the spocket.

All sprockets are now drilled for the current batches I have so no further issue.

Mag00,

No worries.

Kilo,

I will get back to you.

I use a new email address but am loathe to publish as I am wary of spam email as I get hundreds per day at the Boxer Performance one.

To contact me direct use lenmor@activ.com.au and use cam sprockets in the subject, or even just BMW.

Regards,

Lennie
