Capitol Reef to Escalante/Boulder Mountain is through Dixie NF on Hwy 12
(there is a dirt crazy old road from Boulder toward Escalante know as "the devil's backbone" but don't have any pics I can dig out- yet)
Dixie Natl Forest also involves the area 'round Zion, Cedar Breaks, and some above Bryce.....
