I agree, LD; and postulate that the larger the group, the greater the opportunity for difficulty, and the less the opportunity for spontaneity. But as big groups go, it looks like a good one there.
I also find that comfort factor increases with time riding together with the same folks. In general, knowing people's habits helps predict their behaviour. And as for you, you know you'll always have a special place in whatever group you're with
