Saturday the guys from CLT trucked out to La Foret. We were rolling out of Rally HQ before 11. Layla had mentioned something about cookies and time earlier. More on that later.

We went to Brown Mountain and hoped to hook up with KayaKTM and fancyindigo for some loops, but they were held up. We decided to do a loop and meet them back at the parking lot.

This topper day began to unravel a bit. We had bikes on the ground. J Lo's clutch cable did its last pull. Needless to say, we didn't get back to the parking lot in due time. We did run into those guys up on the hill, but we had some separation issues. We all reconvened in the parking lot.

Our plan was to return to Rally HQ to get a spare bike and hit the FS roads.

First up, Maple Sally, which was suprisingly dusty in spots. Luckily, we got all of the traffic out of the way in one spot as there were 20 or 30 bear hunting vehicles parked in one spot and people running around with rifles.

How many curves did you say this road has?

The JB Weld repair on Clifford's flywheel cover seems to be holding.

We rode over Schoolhouse Ridge, where we had an encounter with federal law enforcement, lights and siren on full tilt. ??? We rode up to Old House Gap and did Yancey's Ridge. Down Roseboro Rd and down Wilson Creek. Supermoto roads back to Rally HQ. Instead of the aforementioned cookies, Layla had prodigous snacks and drinks. Thanks to her for that. Thanks to those fellows for coming out.
