The 1200 has a smoother throttle response and the torque is incredible. It's like stepping on th egas on a car with a V8 engine...
I was worried about the additional weight but it is amazing how well balanced the bike is and it makes it really easy to lean on the twisties. I had no chicken strips on front or rear after the ride
The extra weight is kind of worrying at first on the tight switchbacks and on some of th emore nasty stuff, but I got used to it pretty quick.
I didn't drop it, but would fear having to pick it up.
I used to have a 2009 F800 and a KTM 450XCR-W. I'm on my second F800 and it is the perfect single bike (I did not get a new KTM) for me and the riding I do. But next time I'll get a 1200 and a KTM thumper.
