cause the immobilizer ads a high risk of the bike not starting in the middle of nowhere and only fix is possible at a KTM dealer with the diagnostic computer. the local mechanic had to install a CD on his computer that came with the new immobilizer to re-program the keys. so, in africa or south america if this happens again I would need to get the bike to the nearest KTM dealer who might be 1000s of km's away and wait for parts to come from austria. very inconvenient. am thinking DR650.
