The Lake District is my favourite area in the UK. The Hardnot pass is certainly a buttock clencher, there was no way I was going to stop going up there. My R1200R combined with my short fat hairy legs would have meant disaster if I had stopped.
The "Road to the Isles", Fort William to Mallaig is another beautiful ride. I've spent 5 weeks at Mallaig in August and hardly had 7 dry days. Scotland is green 'cos it rains - a lot. The English need a translator in Glasgow- (watch Taggert a Scots detective TV series
