That's right There is a pretty common seal that works fine. 35mm ID, 48mm OD, 11mm thickness. At least that what I wrote down when I did it..

Used on a variety of Japanese bikes, especially earler Honda/Yamaha.

Also used on Harley FX/FXR and Sportster with 35mm Showa forks.

I don't know if a local hydraulic supply shop would have it. But you might want to get new dust wipers anyway, and that is likely a BMW part.

The seal is the same on 1100gs/1150gs and probably a lot of other telelever oilheads. But the 1200's are a different design.
