The next day, it was sunny, but the road wasnít as good. Im heading NE now, towards Barnual, Russia. Iíd rather deal with borders in the morning tho, so I got a room for the night.
In the distance, the border with Russia. It was a pain to get out of Kaz, I think the guy was totally confused, so he made me wait until another guy showed up. He wasnít much brighter. Finally they figured out how to use the stamp, and let me go. The RU side was ok, no hassles, went by fast.
I noticed that the guy put my bike info in the computer, but didnít hand me the usual document. I figured it must be a new system they had, and went on.
Outside the border, 2 chicks in an old Lada sold me a piece of paper that said I had insurance for 3 months. Its probably as useless as tits on a boar hog, but at least I have one.
This area of Russia has huge farms, miles of sunflowers or whatever the crops may be. And of course a lot of bugs as well.
