World's Most Expensive Springs

Based on DaveF's recommendation, I decided that I too would replace the carburetor slide return springs on my /2. He noted a distinct improvement in motor operation with fresh springs. I call Bing and order them. The nice man says they are $3.36 ea., and with with regular USPS charges the total is $11.32. I chuckled that these were by far the least expensive parts I've purchased to date for the bike.
3 weeks go by...I call Bing. Ummm I never got my springs?
That's the mail for you, was the answer.
I order them again, this time UPS shipping and they arrived .

The price of the springs went up from 3 weeks ago and the shipping was more.
The two springs have now run me $33.32. The old ones look compressed about 1/4" than the new.
Sure hope they make the bike run better

I put them in and the bike settled into a steady idle better than ever....
