Yes, the "trick" is to put down the phillips screwdriver you are using, search for a JIS #2 that will fit those screws properly. Get a #1 and 3 while you're at it. That's Japanese Industrial Standard, Repeat, JIS, JIS, JIS, JIS!!!!!!
