Not really.. if you plan on any extended slab, you should go the WR250R route, I almost did myself. You can make the gearing taller, say 14/48, so it's not totally wrung out at 55MPH, but you'll lose a lot of low end grunt. It's not a dual sport in any sense except for the license plate.

I already have a reason to split the cases (which I hope doesn't happen for a long time), I'll probably go that route.
