With respect to the Husky SM630.. I've had my girlfriend as pillion with me for 150 - 200 mile rides on her SM630 and never had a problem with power at all. Cruise at 75 mph easily and still have plenty of torque to pass. Your biggest worry is about replacing the saddle to add enough comfort for your pillion on pavement runs where you are typically seated. For the SM630 that was about ~$175. The bike also comes with OEM passenger foot pegs.
If your skilled you can still do a partial stoppie with a pillion using some of the best front brakes available for the bike weight.. just make sure they know what you are up to.
