Just checked the title, its actually a documented 1977 model with 4,065 miles not a 1978 like originally thought. My memory must be going

Checked out speed and sports, nice find. Man all those parts add up fast, over $130 and counting. Gonna check out yamahaenduro.com and see if i cant find a "gently pre-enjoyed tensioner."

What is the flat spot a 4,000 RPM? Sorry coming from a 170HP liter bike, this bike feels like one giant flat spot! Are we talking a studder, or just no power? Bike seems relatively smooth, just needs to be reved to make it anywhere.
