FWIW I do every single bit of work on my bikes, but I do NOT touch two stroke cranks and other press-fits. Crank builders have more equipment and skill than I have in this department. I will pay money to know I have a good bottom end.

++6 on that, I know what I can do and pressing a crank on any bike is so worth the cost of shipping it out, here in Oregon, we have RB, he is well respected in the 2 stroke world, so when my 2VO takes a shit I am going to buy an A1 crank from him.
Look at it this way you will spend about $200+ for the press and bits and when your crank is wrong and you ruin the whole engine you are out another $ 600+ JMHO
