Chris can use the CF/Kevlar weave (hybrid) fabric, if he wants to fuss with cutting the stuff. I have a set of these:



I personally don't think CF is needed. CF is structural, and there's no need for structure because the guards are not braced against anything; the tank still sits on the pucks internally and if hit hard enough that's where it will break first (say when broadsided by a pickup, when you won't give a poop about the tank :). Kevlar is what you want: abrasion and puncture resistance.
