I agree. I think the bump in horsepower is simply the result of more people using them strictly as road bikes. On the street, more hp is rarely a bad thing. Lets not forget that even with equal hp, how much more does a GS weigh than a MS? I don't expect it would get away from anyone.

I'd be fine with lopping 100lbs off the GS, and slapping a 1000RR motor in there. I don't like the GS for it's performance, Iike it because it fits my 6'5" frame better than anything else on the market. The performance I just have to put up with.
