Me too, but coming from the real dirt bike world where all filter elements are removable, it sure makes it easier to deal with both the cleaning and the re-oiling--especially the re-oiling, where the general practice is to squeeze the excess oil out of the foam element. Sort of hard when it is attached to a rigid cage.
Not going to be an easy process to service in the field.
Like I said before, benefits still out weigh the drawbacks.
