Near Flora, MS, I stumbled across a series of "bunkers" I had seen previously but forgotten about...

Workers installed special telephones, water fountains, and other equipment needed to reduce the possibility of sparks and serious accidents. Bunkers were built to store the ammunition in close to the rail lines at Kearney Park. Remnants of the old ammunition plant can be viewed by driving around the Kearney Park area. Several of the old buildings are being used today for warehousing and some for small business ventures.
