Thanks for the update on the road conditions. I'm heading up there tomorrow (solo) but I don't plan on going much past Atigun Pass. I want to do some hiking and would love to climb up the snow-covered peak at the top of Atigun Pass. I'm bringing warm clothes, crampons and an ice axe in case I get to "play" on steep snowfields.
When I rode to Deadhorse two years ago we encountered the freezing, horizontal sleet/ice crap that iced us up too. That wasn't fun at all.
