I have never, in 20 years of racing, seen a GPR that did not eventually have a part failure, most within the first season of use. Of course most of these were in the early days for GPR. Now, nobody that I know uses them, maybe they have gotten better?
I have also never seen a Scott's that needed anything more than routine maintenance. I have them on 4 bikes now, one is so old it has faded to silver.
Plus return damping is nice, I guess.
