The lights *are* aimed at the same spot. The bike isn't moved for either of those pictures, but to be fair, it was raised, and pointed towards the downhill slope you see.

A large part of the difference is the scope of the LEDs. Yes, the HIDs are good, but they don't light up the surroundings like the LEDs do.
