3) I plan to get the Euro tail and some small LED turn signals. But for now, I eliminated the fender thingy and tried my luck with some aluminum tape on the lower half of the OEM turn signal to keep it from melting. Holy shit! It worked like a charm! Simple fix I guess.
Isn't an issue on later model 690s KTM changed the stalk so it sits up out of the exhaust stream. I gather that some after market pipes like the Leo Vince may require some mod to the signal light as the pipe seems to be set up for bikes with the European tail where the signals lights are set lower. In any event now you are doubly protected
