I took the bike to BMW of Denver and they were wanting to fix it under warranty and said that there was no reason that it shouldn't be covered. Denver BMW had never heard of such a person and told me they were just as surprised about the denial of the coverage as I was. The only reason that they can not repair the bike under warranty is that BMW will not reimburse them for the parts/labor.
