If you have a Uni Pre-filter (removed Snorkel), this setup is no lower than that. Of course if you fall over it won't matter anyways.
The gage that I use is the bottom corner of my Seat "V". Or, if the front fender is under water you are getting very close. Depending on how tall your bike is, that's pretty deep. Slow and steady as to not to cause too large of a bow wake.
On my 950 ADV S, the base plate is about 35" high. So, if I walk a water crossing and my nuts get wet..... I might want to try and find a way around or inflate some pontoons.
