Preparing My Triumph Scrambler for RTW
Tina (The name of my Scrambler): Hello Paul
Paul: Hello Tina, so I want to take back home to London, via Siberia, the BAM Road, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and few other places. Up for it?
Tina: No, F'ck Off
Paul: Wait! What? Why?
Tina: Look at me, Iím overweight, Iím really not sure Iím built for such shenanigans, I can and do make you look good in Manhattan.
Paul: Well this isn't an adventure for no reason. Lets get you some glad rags and handbags.
So begins the task of outfitting Tina the Triumph ready for the road.
This is what I have outlined so far
Alpina Wheels, these will allow me to run tubeless and they are infinitely stronger than my current ones! definitley the best around for my bike,
Knobblies (Continental TKC80 Tyre)
Road Tires (Pirelli Scorpions)
Panniers: Metal Mule
Handguards: Triumph Tiger 1050ís
Rear Suspension: Ohlins S36PR1C1LB
Front Suspension: Bitubo Cartridge
Red Jerry Cans for range (the current 120m will not suffice)
Ortileb Soft Luggage
Garmin 665 GPS (this looks to be discontinued, so waiting out for a potential replacement)
+ personal/camping kit
Let me know your thoughts and ideas, anything I have missed?
