this appear to be an Asian made nine tooth permanent magnet starter that fits, BMW R series Airhead with 9-Tooth, Replaces Valeo D6RA7, D6RA15, 12 41 9 062 425

these are probably made for a popular Japanese auto with several applications. starter mfg generally will not make new starters unless there are lots of sales to justify tooling.
