If you are refering to the red/brown creek in the last pic, rest assured that is not pollution. Natural sediment that the water washes of the mountains. Especially after it has rained.
The beaches here are very popular with surfers, but lots of people also swim in the sea here. Water is cold and you also have to be carefull of Great White Sharks.
I know that I am fortunate to live in this beautiful area.
