It seems like most folks are using aftermarket headlight mounts when building a cafe racer out of a boxer. This also works well for the G/S and GS guys as the ignition switch is in that area stock. This afternoon I will have a product that fills that large hole in the side of the headlight bucket with an 8mm threaded hole in the center for a mirror or the same hardware that is stock on the right side.

I am planning out the wiring for my installation.
Scanned the microscopic wiring schematic from the owner's manual. Now I zoom in and actually read it:
Labeled all the stock wires by their function, i.e., turn, neutral, oil pressure, etc. :
I have labeled all the Acewell wires to match up to the BMW wires:
Notes: I have the Acewell 4454 and this installation is specific for the 4454. I made some additions to bpeckm's wiring instructions, making them more specific to the 4454.
