I'm about 75% done with the framing of the tub I'm bolting to the Kenna rolling chassis frame from DMC.
1/2" oak (7-ply) side panels:
Tacked on to the frame for a look-see. As you can see, I changed the shape of the sides. After taking a look, I decided to take 4" off the height, 6" of length from the nose, and changed the side profile to what you see here. The bottom pieces (3) and bulkheads are 3/4" oak plywood.
After the tops and curved areas are installed and miscellaneous other prep, the whole assembly will be fiberglassed with epoxy resin and cloth inside and out, gel coated on the outside, and painted gloss black.
What you see here weighs about 45-55 pounds, I estimate. I'm thinking a bit less than 100 when done (?).
