After that, we rode down south to the so called Makarska Riviera
Makarska has a beautiful historic city, nice place to be, drink cappuccino
nice people at the harbour

, fantastic scenery
selling fresh fish early in the morning. no, i`m not the guy in the blackandwhite underwear...
ok, another ship.....i like it
but the best at Makarska is the Biokovo natural resort, a small tollway from 300meters above sealevel up to the top of the Sveti Jure (that means Saint George) at 1762 meters above sealevel. toll is 40 Kuna, but if you did not get a reciept, the man at the gate put the money in his own pocket

the tollway is a fantastic paved narrow road, but watch out, there a a lot of wild horses, donkeys runnin around
above treeline a fantastic view early in the morning to the islands Brac and Hvar
i rode every track to alpin cabins......this time i lost my front mudguard....

i dont know how or when, thereto later....
the rope marks the depth of the snow in winter
on the top (there is a weather- and radiostation) the whole riviera 1800 meters down below
there ist a small chapel on the top, a short walk, the highest chapel in croatia dedicated to Sveti Jure (Saint George)
a lot of tracks, all blind end
backcountry of the riviera.......Bosnia in background
