Nice job DD !!! There's no shame in being honest with yourself concerning the lack of water and the fun factor. My motivating factor is usually my daughter. I tell her she can't quit, so that puts the heat on me not to do the same

The following is just my opinion, nothing more. I used to ride a much older bike than my competitors. There was a certain amount of satisfaction in beating guys on newer, more capable bikes, I understand that. After a dozen or more races I got the chance to ride something newer and afterwords swore I'd quit before I raced my old bike again. I was faster on it, safer on it, but most importantly I was having more fun on it. I was battling the course and my competitors, not the bike, and even though it wasn't a new bike (3 yo) it gave me the tools to have more fun.
