Yep, I revalved mine back in 2006, polished the internals too. Huge difference and a correct, opinion, that it saves the rim. I know some shim stack combos that work well, where to get the washers, how to do it, which weight oil and airgap I like, which springs and where to source them inexpensively...but its all just...opinion. I have no facts.
