I've seen others ride with their dogs on the pillion or in crates mounted as a topcase, but I'm not comfortable with that much weight up high nor not having them secure. Plus part of the sheer enjoyment of travel with my dog is sharing the experience, being able to see each other or reach out and touch each other. So as it says in my sig file...
