I do not think that there is a volume market for a new airhead motor unless it does everything the next generation water cooled boxers will do. I certainly do not think the current airhead owners will flock to a new airhead bike. Would position it as a limited edition at a premium over say the R1200R. If you are not going to sell a bunch might as well recognize this up front and at least try to male a decent margin on all you can sell.
One parallel. Look at how frequently Moto Guzzi V7 Classics and Racers come up for sale with less than 5,000 miles on their clocks. Bought for show not go.
