He won a superbowl sure, but he was handed a team with all the talent in place and had two losing seasons after that. Why would he even make the step down to the collegiate level when he could easily get a job in the NFL?
His wife was a vol cheerleader, he has family in the area, he got his start at UT as a grad assistant. That's the argument for him coming to Tennessee.
A lot of speculation though that he's headed back to the NFL for another coaching job.
