I have been waiting for this ride report... thanks for posting, and thanks for the mention.
I really enjoyed meeting you guys, we did ride in some challenging rain together on our way into Golden. The storys were great, and truely one of the great parts of meeting others on the road.
Although the "At supper we were noticed by a guy who was all alone at an adjacent table." makes me sound a little pathetic :) but I'll take it :)
I followed you guys out to Rocky, where my mother resides and stayed overnight there. I do not have the luxury of heated vests/clothing as most of this trip was in the southren states (+42C).
I stopped at the Saskatchewan River Crossing to warm up and get some food. $21.00 for a hot dog and fries was a bit steep, but it was one of the best I have ever had.
My lovely wife and I are planning a motorcycle trip out east for this year, we may have to meet up again. I'll keep in touch...
