We continue south into the East Fort Rock OHV area, one of my favorite places to ride. Not much time for pics as we roll through a bunch of twisty, nicely bermed out wide track with elevation changes…kind of like a Disneyland ride!
Here’s a pic in between trails on our way to East Lake.
And Dale arriving to flag me on.
Getting closer to the crater (East Lake). Notice the ground covered in pumice pebbles.
Here’s Todd artisticly framed nicely by pine branches.
A few miles later we arrive at East Lake for a break and fuel.
East Lake is one of the twin lakes that occupy part of the Newberry Crater or caldera in Central Oregon, United States. It is located in the Deschutes National Forest near the city of La Pine. The caldera was formed over 500,000 years ago from volcanic eruptions.
Everyone’s getting comfortable…
Time to go before lethargy takes over.
Up next, a blast south to Hole in the Ground.
