That is a very valid concern and one should be careful regarding the clearances. During my mockups it was evident the 1170 was way too large. The 1150 may be OK but it is a little deeper than the 1120.
As you can see I mounted it as far to the rear as possible thus avoiding the brake caliper and its parts.
It will clearly miss the caliper.
Under 100% full compression there is the possibility of contact with the mud guard. I run a stiff set up suspension but that is no gurantee it will not compress fully.
Thanks for pointing this out but I believe all of the ones that hit the caliper were the 1170 or the 1150, not the smaller 1120.
