Just an FYI.
The Honda RFVC head bikes ( XRL, XR, XL) have run roller bearing cams since 1983. The previous design ran the cam directly in the head material though.
The Suzy DR650 runs the cam directly in the head material and I don't believe I've ever heard of a cam journal failure with one of them.
