My speedo cable jammed and stripped the plastic gear a bit that goes into the speedo drive. Can you purchase the plastic gear only. I think it will work the way it is, but if I can replace the plastic gear, I would prefer that. I have a 3-0 drive and a 2.9, both plastic gears were damaged before I realized the real problem!
The plastic gear seems to be the same in both. I guess the metal gear in the speedo drive determines the ratio. The moto is a 1996 R1100GS. Thanks!
